Terra Tech Corp (OTCMKTS:TRTC)
Terra Tech Corp (OTCMKTS:TRTC) traded lower, days after its subsidiary Edible Garden exhibited its complete range of fresh locally grown herbs and leafy greens at the Fresh Summit Expo in New Orleans. The stock was down by 4.1% in Thursday’s trading session to end the day at $0.18 a share.
Edible Green Offerings
Hosted by the Fresh Summit, the expo attracted attendees from over 60 countries and 1,000 exhibitors. At the Expo, Edible Garden showcased its recently launched line of fresh-cut Snip-its herbs as well as the naturally enhanced SUPERLEAF lettuce among other herbs and produce.
Terra Tech Corp (OTCMKTS:TRTC) subsidiary is currently implementing a strategic plan designed to grow market share and offerings in the Non-GMO market.
“Edible Garden has long prided itself on using the safest standards and most energy-efficient technologies available to produce high quality, healthy produce. Its range of fresh herbs and leafy greens, which are locally-grown using sustainable farming practices, have made it a popular choice for health-conscious and environmentally aware consumers across the United States,” said COO, Ken, Vande Vrede
Hannaford supermarket and Sweetgreen restaurants have already selected Edible Green to supply some of their retail outlets with locally grown herbs and leafy greens. The agreement is a milestone achievement given that Hannaford boasts of over 180 stores servicing the greater New England area. Sweetgreen, on the other hand, comes with 75 outlets spread across eight states
The two retail chains should strengthen Terra Tech Corp (OTCMKTS:TRTC)’s bid to expand its footprint across the United States. Securing purchase orders from customers across the country is the company’s main goal as it seeks to expand its distribution network on high quality and natural foods.
Craft Cultivator Partnerships
Separately, Terra Tech has signed a second Craft Cultivator for growing its proprietary high-grade IVXX cannabis flowers and oils. Located in Salinas, California, the farm is approved for up to 6 acres of cannabis cultivation that is to be grown in high tech climate controlled greenhouses.
The new partnership supports Terra Tech Corp (OTCMKTS:TRTC) ‘Craft Cultivation’ model launched in May with the signing of an experienced cultivator in Honeydew California. The company is using the partnerships to ensure its IVXX cannabis is grown and harvested under the safest and most beneficial conditions.
“The cultivators at Cultivar, Inc. have their cultivation, nursery and manufacturing operations all on site to ensure quality-control, and its shipping logistics infrastructure already in place to support an immediate ramp in IVXX production,” said CEO, Derek Peterson.
